This battery replaces the Sony Vaio PCG-3C2L model as well as other Vaio models that begin with VGN-CS and VGN-FW. It also replaces any Sony battery marked VGP-BPS13.

Sony laptop batteries have proprietary software inside the battery packs. Since Sony has discontinued this battery pack, a Sony replacement battery must have the correct program chip inside the battery pack in order for the laptop to recharge the battery. Our Premium battery has all this programming completed inside the battery pack.

This PCG-3C2L battery is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista & Windows 7 operating systems. However, if you have updated to the Windows 10 operating system, you may have difficulties with the Sony battery management software in your laptop which will have been replaced by Microsoft Windows power management software. This may prevent the battery management software in your laptop from correctly displaying the correct battery status. If your battery software is working correctly now, you should have no trouble with our battery. However, If you are already having this issue, new batteries will not solve this issue. You may fix this issue by finding an update for your specific laptop at (Sony's Vaio Support Center here.)
